Style: We blend photo-journalism with traditional portraiture, but we do prefer a unstructured, ‘real’ look unless requested otherwise.  Those small details, planned and unplanned, capturing the moments as they happen, and the richness of the event are all very important to us.  Ginger-Kathleen does the formal portraiture, and prefers warm, color saturated looks with dramatic or diffused light when possible for a romantic statement.   She also finds getting the right angle makes a world of difference in the appearance of the subject, and understands those who hate being in front of a camera.  Shots of the bride that show her true beauty are very important

Rates and coverage:  The wedding photography package includes previewing the wedding and reception site to plan lighting and advise you of possible issues, as well as a pre-bridal or engagement portraits because we believe it’s important to establish a relationship and familiarity with the bride and groom prior to the wedding day. When taking a portrait, this helps the subjects to relax, which positively affects the expression of the subject’s eyes.  Our goal is for your comfort and relaxation in front of the lens, so your personality shows through.

Wedding day coverage is full-day up to 7 hours, to start and end when you request it. Usually this starts with the dressing, and covers all the way through the reception.  Additional time is available @ $200/hour.

$1200 includes 7 hours’ coverage, 2 photographers, 2 proof DVDs, (a DVD featuring over 700 4x6 edited .jpg prints), your selection of up to 75 enlargement-ready digital negatives on CD or email-able .jpg files for enlargements, a proof book of 100 of your favorites.

Extra proof DVDs are $15/each.

Bound albums, coffee table books and other products including online ordering and credit card orders are available.

All images are available with a variety of effects including black & white, sepia tones, hand-tinted effect and color washes for no extra charge.  Your proof album DVD will include a selection of these options as well.  Digital images being prepared in special effects and B&W are prepared for a material charge of $2 per Disc.

Your images  should be ready in 2 weeks give or take plus mailing/delivery time.

Reprints, enlargements and hardcopy:  Your wedding package comes with 2 DVDs of your pictures that you can view on a computer or a DVD player. You own a limited copyright release for personal use for your pictures, so you can print your own reprints and enlargements, but we do request you use a quality lab, as any work can be terrible if printed poorly. We do provide both lab recommendations and will provide the service of having your prints made for you.

We shoot digital format with Canon SLR EOS Cameras, and invite questions you have about our equipment.

"Our photographer, Ginger Kathleen, is an absolute natural. She took the most amazing pictures. She did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend her." Britt Savage, 2008 Bride

"Hello my name is Jennifer, and I chose to have my engagement photos taken by Elijah Park Photography.  I am delighted with the results of our photo shoot.  Ginger-Kathleen took her time, and was a patient with my fiancÚ and I.  She was able to capture certain personalities and expressions that I never knew we had.  Ginger-Kathleen’s personality was high spirited, warm hearted, and enthusiastic.

I remember my fiance saying that he was “extremely nervous” prior to the photo shoot.  After the session, he told me that Ginger-Kathleen made him feel comfortable, and he would love to book Elijah Park Photography for our wedding.  Once we received our photos, I could honestly see the difference in his smile, and posture.

I cannot wait until our wedding day, I know in my heart that I will truly love my photos!"  Jennifer Brown 2009 Bride  (She was happy!)

Wonderful to work with! Great Artistic Talent! They captured our wedding memories beautifully!   Sarah Griffith, 2009 Bride

About us:

Ginger-Kathleen & Jonathan are a husband and wife team, with the indubitable advantage of two photographers for your wedding. (Why? Technical malfunctions happen, and all the insurance in the world can’t bring your wedding pictures back. Two photographers mean that you have your eggs in, well, two baskets! )

Ginger-Kathleen grew up around the wedding process, since her mother provided catering and wedding flowers, and shot her first wedding at 18. This long history of wedding experience gives her the ability to relax and let the wedding happen with minimal interference. Anything involving beauty, whether it’s gardens, music, photography, or animals, is a passion.

Jonathan, also a software engineer, enjoys photography as an art form, especially black & white.  He also enjoys the interaction with people that takes place during a wedding, as well as the artistic and technical challenge.
